Cookies (and an apology)

Hi, Dory here on DAY 10 of the POSTAPALOOZA, and I have to apologize to my human. I called her a party pooper, which wasn't a good choice and not very nice. Mom says I am a good girl but not very patient, and patience is important. So, I am sorry Mom.
As you can see on Sunday we started our Christmas Cookie baking marathon. Today's ccokies were Italian Christmas Cookies (click here and get the recipe).
Mom is not Italian, but she makes a great cookie. These are almond flavor, dense and tasty - great for having with coffee. (Okay, my human made me say that last part - I find them good all on their own.)
They have a drizzle of icing and little red, white and green sprinkles - these are not only seasonal but the same colors as the Italian flag!
They are very pretty. And Mom says to get cookies all the same size, first scoop out the dough in a melon ball scoop befor your roll it and shape the "S".
The best part about Sunday (aside from the Patriots thrashing the Steelers) was that Mom made a special cookie just for me!!
"D" is for Dory!!
It looks really good!
But now for the taste test!!
I have one word... YUMMMOOOOOOO!!!! So you see, how can I stay mad at a human who makes me my very own cookie. Have a great day everyone.

Our Mom plans on baking cookies this weekend. She only bakes dog cookies for all of our local dog buddies & in return, their humans give her people cookies! Sweet deal, huh???

And don't worry...football is only a game. If we have to get beat by anyone, it should be a team that's undefeated. We're OK with that. We still sent Tom Brady a giant box of poop!

How can you not love a mom who makes you your own cookie? Our dad was the cookie maker in our house so we are probably out of luck.

Oh YUUUUUUUUUUMMMMM! I overheard my mama talking about the "second annual Christmas cookie bake-off" that will be happening this Sunday. Lucky for me, she's inviting my cousins who are known to be clumsy. Tee-hee. I'll make sure the floor remains clean and free of cookie remains.

Hey Dory....we got ur amazing card....it's absolutely beautiful!!! So...u like the Patriots??? Come and see our blog...My brother Scruffy (Pittsburgh) had a bet with Archie..(Boston) about the game. Scruff and Arch are dressed appropriately for the game. Well, we lost and now Agatha and Arch are sending us Patriots bandanas to wear for 24 hours OUTSIDE. We hope no one yells at us or worse! Mumsie has to wear her Steelers t shirt to protect us!!!!! Patriots deserved that game...we sorta stunk!

I helped my mom with Chrsitmas cookies, too. She spent all day both Saturday and Sunday baking and I cleaned the floor for her (cuz she's a slob) and as a reward for doing such a great job I got to lick the peanut butter cookie utensils!!! I LOVE Christmas cookie weekend!!
