A day of giving thank you...

Mom spent all day yesterday with me and we had lots of fun baking! Mom went on and on talking all about "giving" thanks on Thanksgiving. I am not really sure what she means by giving thanks - but I can certainly say thank you for all the fun I had. Mom was home sick with bronchitis and an ear infection but needed to make pies to take to Gramma's house. Needless to say she toughed it out.
I was so excited, Mom let me help make the Pumpkin Pie!
Okay, well I didn't actually make the pie but I did help clean up!
YUMMMMOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once we were done with that Mom made me a pie crust cookie!!! And it was shaped just like me!!!
Very cool - maybe I should give a thank you for this??
So then Mom went to work on the Pecan Pie while my cookie baked!
Baking takes patience! Good time for a nap. Oh and I have my pretty Thanksgiving Collar on too!
Mom made the Dory cookie with some cinnamon on top - look how it came out!! Woo Hoo! IT WAS YUMMY IN MY TUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and Mom's pies came out okay too!
So we are off to Gramma's for the holidays and I want to give thank yous to my mom, Gramma, my friends at DWB, all the nice people at Labs4Rescue and all the great people in my life who give me treats, play with me, read my blog and love me so much.

I am a very lucky pup - and I guess that is what Mom meant about giving thank yous...

Happy Thanksgiving to all - Love, Dory

I got to help Mom with the baking to go to Grandma's house too!! What would they do without us? I hope you had as much fun at your grandma's house as I did! I'm getting caught up on eerybody's blogs since I took a very long break. I really hope I never do that again. It's a lot of work getting caught up and trying to stay caught up.

Dory, Those pies look soooo good. Hey, I just noticed your b-day is coming up. You're a sag, just like my mom. I'm not really sure what that means, but those pies look really yummy.

Hi Dory! The cookies and pies look DELICIOUS!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog. You are from Boston? I used to live there in that area. My people got married in Cambridge and lived across the border in NH, where they got me! We all miss it a lot!

Your friend, Lenny

The cleanup is the best part! I'm sure you're an excellent helper.

Those pies look amazing. Mom's would never turn out that pretty. All she knows how to bake are liver brownies. Can't screw those up!
